OPERATION
- Place your toaster on a flat, dry, stable surface.
- Plug the toaster in, and adjust it to your required toasting time, using thetiming control knob.
- Place bread or other food suitable for toasting into the slot, then press down the start control /knob. It will remain down until the bread is toasted.
- If you wish to stop the toasting process, press the Stop This will automatically eject the toast, and cancel the heating elements.
- If the bread sticks in the toaster, unplug it, wait for it to cool, and then remove the bread. NEVER USE METAL UTENSILS TO REMOVE THE BREAD.
- After use, wipe away crumbs using a dry cloth.
- Always allow at least 1 minute’s cooling time between cycles if toaster is being used more than once at a time.
- Must put in the bread when using the toaster, can not use the toaster without bread.
REHEAT FUNCTION
- Insert slices of bread.
- Press the “Reheat” function button.
- Push down the lever to start reheating the cooled bread.
- When reheating is complete, the lever will automatically pop up.
- If you wish to stop the toasting before the cycle is completed, simply press the ‘Stop’ button.
DEFROST FUNCTION
The ‘DEFROST’ function first defrosts and then toasts the bread, which extends the toasting cycle smoothly.
- Place frozen bread slices into the toasting slot.
- Adjust the browning control knob to the desired level.
- Press the “Defrost” function button.
- Push down the lever to begin toasting.
- When toasting is complete, the lever will automatically pop up.
- If you wish to stop the toasting before the cycle is completed, simply press the ‘Stop’ button.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- THE TOASTER SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING.
- Unplug from the power outlet (mains).
- To remove crumb slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs. Wipe clean and replace, never operate the toaster without crumb tray in place.
- DONOT use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool to clean the toaster.
- Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the toaster – cleaner should be applied to a soft cloth.
- The outside of the toaster should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth, and polished with a soft, dry cloth.
- After cleaning, wait a few minutes for the toaster to dry completely before use.
CAUTION
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not place any part of this toaster in water or any other liquid.
- Prior to first use, the toaster should be used for a few minutes without bread in it. There will be some smoke at first; this is entirely normal.
- Do not touch the hot surface.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Keep the toaster out of reach of children.
- Use only pre-sliced bread.
- Do not insert oversized foods, metal foil packages, or metal utensils into the toaster. This may result in electric shock.
- Do not use the toaster near curtains, upholstery or other decorative fabrics, as they can easily catch fire and cause a safety hazard.
- Do not remove food from the toaster while the plunger is down.
- Do not remove the crumb tray while the toaster is plugged in. Disconnect from power supply, wait for it to cool, then remove the crumb tray.
- Bread may burn. Therefore toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. They must be watched.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance canbe used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are old than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Warning: The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
- WARNING: Thiselectrical appliance contains a heating function. Surface, also different than the functional surfaces, can develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are differently perceived by different persons, this equipment shall be used with CAUTION. The equipment shall be touch only at intended handles and gripping surfaces, and use heat protection like gloves or similar. Surfaces other than intended gripping surfaces shall get sufficiently time to the cool down before getting touched.
- Warning: The use of small bread slices (smaller than 85x85mm) could lead to a burning hazard when the bread is removed from the toaster. Immediately after use the surfaces next to the toast slits are very hot.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
The warranty will not apply in cases of:
- Normal wear and tear
- Incorrect use, e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
- Use of force, damage caused by external influences
- Damage caused by non-observance of the user manual, e.g. connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the installation instructions
- Partially or completely dismantled appliances
